According to Brian Britten the Tigers have traded 2 players (to be named later) for utility man Jeff Baker from the Chicago Cubs. The players to be named later must be announced by 10/31/2012.
This season Jeff Baker is hitting .269 with a .306 on-base percentage and .448 slugging percentage. The more imporant thing for the Tigers though is he's a right handed hitter who hits left handed pitching well.
