Jason Beck broke the story that the Detroit Tigers have released David Pauley today. Pauley was trying to make the team as a right handed reliever this season, but struggled this spring.
Pauley came to Detroit in a trade with Doug Fister last season with Seattle where he had a 2.15 ERA in 54 1/3rds innings before the trade. However, with Detroit last season, Pauley had an ERA of 5.95 in 19 2/3rds innings.
