Detroit Tigers Avoid Arbitration with Max Scherzer & Delmon Young
According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports Max Scherzer and the Tigers avoided arbitration and agreed upon a 1 year deal worth $3.75 million. Jon Heyman also reported that the Tigers agreed upon a 1 year $6.75 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Scherzer went 15-9 with a 4.43 ERA in 195 innings pitched last season. Delmon Young was traded to the Tigers last season and in 40 games hit .274 with 8 Home Runs and 32 RBI. Young will be a free agent after the 2012 season.
