Detroit Tigers & Don Kelly Avoid Arbitration
According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports the Detroit Tigers and Don Kelly have avoided arbitration and agreed upon a 1 year deal worth $900,000.
Last season Don Kelly hit .245 with 7 Home Runs and 28 RBI in a utility role. Kelly spent most of his time playing 3rd base, but also started all 3 outfield positions as well as first base. Kelly also made his first career appearance out of the bullpen and has a career ERA of 0.00
Don Kelly is likely to be used at 3rd base in a platoon role with Brandon Inge this season, but will also be a defensive replacement at a corner outfield spot when needed late in a game.
