Drew Smyly Going to the 15 Day DL

I feel like I type this kind of article atleast twice a week.

According to Jon Morosi Drew Smyly will be placed on the 15 day DL with a severe blister on his pitching hand. Smyly has started 12 games this season and is 2-2 with a 3.97 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in his rookie season.

Replacing Smyly on the roster will be Ryan Raburn. Raburn had been sent down to Toledo for being awful this season. In 37 games he was hitting .146 with a .209 on-base percentage and .211 slugging percentage. Yes, his on-base is almost higher than his slugging.

Losing Smyly just adds him to a long list of Tigers who are on the DL currently right now including Victor Martinez, Andy Dirks, Alex Avila, Doug Fister, Octavio Dotel and Al Alburquerque.
