Austin Jackson Placed on the 15 Day DL
According to
Brian Britten the Tigers will place Austin Jackson on the 15 day DL today. The move according to Britten will be retroactive to May 17th.
Jackson left a game last weak with a side strain, and will miss the next week with being placed on the DL. Austin Jackson had arguably been the Tigers best player on offense for the Tigers this season hitting a line of .331/.414/.544 including 5 home runs, 17 RBI, 6 stolen bases, and 29 runs scored. He also has drawn 20 walks this season.
Quintin Berry is expected to start every day while Jackson is on the DL, but this is just another injury the Tigers will have to try and overcome.
